What is Coming Out of my Mouth?

"I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!" Psalms 91:2

Notice that verse says, "I will say".  Circle the word say in your Bible because we must learn to verbalize our trust. We answer back to God what He says to us.  There is power in saying His Word back to Him! The more we say His Word out loud, the more confident we become in His protection and provision.

So many times, as Christians, we mentally agree that the Lord is our refuge, but that is not enough. Power is released in saying it out loud. When we say it and mean it, we place ourselves in His shelter. By voicing His lordship and His protection, we open the door to the secret place.

One cannot miss the fact that this verse used the word my three times, "my refuge", "my fortress," "my God". The Psalmist makes a personal claim to God. The reason we can trust is that we know Who God is to us.

God may use different people or avenues to meet our specific needs, but our hearts have to run to Him first as our Shepherd and as our Protector.  We must settle in our hearts and minds that He is our one and only SOURCE, and be unwilling to put pressure or expectation on any other person, organization or avenue to meet our needs. God has to be the One we run to first!

Be aware of what comes out of your mouth first when situations arise in your life. Saying your trust in God out loud from the get go releases faith and brings your Provider, your Help, your Answer on the scene! Don't just think it or "know" it, say it out loud! I will NOT fear, I trust God! He is my Help!

I WILL SAY OF THE LORD, HE IS MY REFUGE, MY FORTRESS, MY HEALER, MY DELIVERER, MY WISDOM, MY PEACE, HE IS MY GOD, AND I TRUST HIM!
