God Makes a Distinction

”But on that day I will sever and set apart the land of Goshen in which My people dwell, that no swarms [of gadflies] shall be there, so that you may know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth.

And I will put a division and a sign of deliverance between My people and your people. By tomorrow shall this sign be in evidence.“
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭8‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭

Just as in the day of Israel’s dwelling in Egypt (type of the world), although we are in the world, we are not of the world. God makes us a distinction between His people and the world. He separates His people from having to partake of the curse in the world. Whatever judgment, plague, pestilence, financial downturn or political upheaval happens in the world - by the Blood of Jesus we are separated.

The Israelites, by faith, applied the blood of the sacrificial lamb over their doorposts of their home. God said that when He sees the blood, the destroyer will not be allowed to touch the home and those in it. Although every dwelling in Egypt suffered destruction that night, not one of the Israelites were touched.  Why? Because they took God at His Word.  They obeyed His instructions. The applied the blood. That blood separated them from the judgment and plagues of Egypt.

Life is different for God's people. Oh, it's all around us. It's in the world, but we, by faith, don’t have to participate in or partake of what the world does. We apply the Blood of Jesus by faith and God will see to it!

That all may know The Lord is with His people here in the earth.
