Mirror Mirror

The Lord once again ministered powerful Truths to us in Wednesday's service with Pastor Nate.  Below are just a few nuggets from the service as well as the link to listen to the service. 
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

• John 8:31 - If you continue in my Word, then are you my disciples, and you will know the Truth and the Truth will make you free. 
  
• If we are disciples of Christ, we adjust our lives to His Word. We don't read His Word to try and make it fit our lifestyles. We adjust our lifestyles to fit His Word.     
• We don't decide what is right and wrong.  We decide who is lord. 
• A disciple of Christ values the Word of God even when it's hard.
• It isn't that we are to just agree with God, but we are to submit to Him. 
• Matthew 7:1-5 - Judge not. We are not to be the decider. God and God alone makes the judgment, makes the call.
• We don't need a magic mirror that only tells us what we want to hear!
• James 1:22-25 - The mirror of God's Word.
• God's Love is about God's preference.
• Fear is about self, but when I prefer another, fear isn't present because it's not about self. 
• Agape - The God kind of love or God's preference.  The Greek word for the verb of the God kind kind of love means: actively doing what the Lord prefers. Christ living His life in the believer, or walking and moving in love.
• Ask this question, "How would God like me to treat ____________?" 
• Say this, "Do a work in me that I would prefer You, Lord! Do a work in me that I would prefer others!'
• Psalms 37:4 - Delight yourself in the Lord.  Give Him the right to lead!
• When we're under His authority, grace is flowing to us.
