Resisting the Devil: My Position

• We share the throne with The One who conquered!  We didn't do the conquering, Jesus did the conquering and then handed us His victory.
• Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.  We can only exercise authority over when we are submitted under God's authority.  
• When things are out of line in our lives, we are to use our authority by using our voice in Jesus' Name, and put them back in line. 
• Two positions that get attacked:  Our position in Christ and our position with others.  
• We don't wrestle against flesh, against people or natural circumstances. 
• We are to resist the devil.  Take a firm stand against him and refuse to be moved.  Our position matters in our resistance.  
• We are to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Extinguish the flame before the blame.  Use our words and the shield of faith to extinguish. 
• Satan is the accuser in our lives, the plaintiff who always brings a case against us.  When we're on the stand, when we testify, it's vitally important to say what our Advocate, the Lord Jesus tells us to say.  He will always bring us His Word.
• Don't let a mistake take us out of position.
• When we miss it, stay in position.  We didn't earn the position of authority and dominion in Christ to start with.  Jesus gave us the position through His Blood. 
• The Word of God is for our vindication.  2 Timothy 3:16
• The world will know Him by our love for one another.  Love covers a multitude of sins.
