There's a good possibility that you are stronger than you think you are. There's a lot that was said in that one sentence. Sometimes the circumstances of life or just our own internal dialogue can cast a shadow on the Truth of the strength that indwells us.
We must keep in mind that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he, (Proverbs 23:7), so, as always, we must face the circumstances and our thoughts with Truth, as we WILL be as we think. If we think we're weak, we will be weak. If we think we're strong, we will be strong. So, what does the Bible say about our strength? First of all, it tells us where our strength is.
Ephesians 6:10 - "Be strong IN THE LORD (be empowered through your union with Him, draw your strength from Him - that strength which His boundless might provides."
Nehemiah 8:10 - "The joy of the Lord is your strength."
The Truth is, you are strong in Him, and joy is a fruit of the spirit which is in you. Don't sit and ponder on what you see with your natural eyes and ponder on how you are feeling. Make the confession today: "I am strong in the Lord and power of His might! " And then go ahead and stir up the joy that is in you - in your born again spirit. Begin confessing who you are IN HIM, what you have IN HIM, what you can do in HIM. You'll begin to sense the strength of the Lord bubble up and before long, as Mark Hankins says, "The Spirit of Faith will take hold and will make you want to swing out over hell on a cornstalk and spit in the devil's eye."
